Rod was a Creative Group Head, SVP with the D'arcy Mascius, Benton and Bowles agency for fifteen years in New York City.
He worked throughout his 20 year career as an advertising executive on fashion, cosmetics, OTC products, Mars, Breck, Arm & Hammer, HBO and Crest Oral Hygiene products.
He worked with Dupont, Richardson-Vicks, and P&G. He is holder of the Effy award for effective advertising.
As an artist, Rod Norman studied at the Ringling School of Art and Design studying Advertising Graphics. During this time he met the art instructor, Fiore Custode, who greatly influenced his painting style. After winning an award in Sarasota, Florida for a landscape, he went on to exhibit at the SoHo Art Gallery in New York City and curate exhibitions in several corporate headquarters. He wrote and recorded music for exhibitions at the Kampo Cultural Center in NYC.
He now lives and paints in Eugene, Oregon and has an artist's shop on the Artfinder Website where many of his works have sold internationally.
